We have 7 different State Health plans to choose from, but most people are in just 3 of them: The Bronze HRA, the Silver HRA and the Anthem HMO. Of those 3, the Bronze costs the least and the Anthem HMO costs the most. 

Healthy people with few expenses benefit from the Bronze plan because of the low cost to join and because they don’t have the medical expenses that would force them to meet the higher deductible. People with more health issues benefit from the Anthem HMO because although it costs more to join, you pay less out of pocket when you use it.

Using an FSA enables you to pay for out-of-pocket medical costs like deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, prescriptions and even over-the-counter medications with before tax dollars. You can also use them for dental and vision costs. That's like getting everything at a 30% discount, so we want to encourage you to take advantage of this tool.
